Podere Santa Lucia was born in 2005, from Alfonso Balducci’s and Pietro Cacciani’s desire to rediscover the ancient art of wine-making from grapes typical of their territory, which had been an old passion for their parents and that they decided to bring back to life after some years of interruption.
After choosing the district of Santa Lucia in Monte San Vito, in the heart of the small area of production of Lacrima di Morro d’Alba, as a perfect environment for producing high-quality wines, the Podere set up the vineyards of Black Lacrima and built a brand new underground cellar for the processing of the grapes, the wine making and the aging of the wines.
